When we overindulge in the wrong kinds of foods and neglect the needs of our bodies by avoiding exercise, we are basically expressing hatred towards ourselves, says Maryanne.

Every time we engage in unconscious overeating, we are starving from healthy self-love. Once our relationship with love is healed we make better choices for our health and well-being.

So, for our bodies to let go of excess weight naturally we must replace fear with love. Love is that which created and sustains us. It’s our connection to our true reality—our Divine self and the positive flow of the Universe.

The principles behind the lessons are:

  • Your body is an effect, not a cause. Your body is not the cause of your weight problem.
  • Mind is cause, body is effect. Poor diet and lack of exercise are not the cause of your excess weight.
  • The cause of your excess weight is fear—a place in your mind where love is blocked.
  • This fear expresses itself as subconscious urges, which then trigger overeating and resistance to exercise. This fear must be dug out for the excess weight to be permanently healed.
